Comparing Blinds and Window Shades
The main differences between blinds and window shades are their structure and how they adjust light.
- Blinds have horizontal or vertical slats made from wood, metal, faux wood, or fabric. A top headrail holds the blinds in place; the slats are connected to that with cords or ladder tapes. These window coverings offer a more structured look.
